Leg and Facial Vein Laser Therapy using the Cynosure Elite™

Legs and facial veins are bothersome at best, unattractive at worst. Fortunately, with cosmetic laser treatment you can make yourself look and feel a whole lot better - often with as little as only two or three visits.

The Cynosure Elite™ combines the ideal laser wavelength with the most flexible parameters to deliver a superior vascular laser treatment. The Elite laser vein treatment consists of pulsing the laser over the spider veins and delivering a small amount of energy to cause the vein to heat and ultimately close. Laser therapy can only be done on skin that is not tanned. No compression stockings are required but it is important to refrain from heavy exercise and hot water or saunas for a week post treatment.

Vein Treatment using Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a detergent injected by a needle into the spider vein causing the vessel to close and forcing blood to reroute through healthier veins. The collapsed vein is reabsorbed and eventually fades. It may take extra treatments and occasionally compression stockings are required post treatment. It can be slightly painful. Redness, swelling and sometimes bruises may occur but should only last a few days. Sclerotherapy is often done for cosmetic purposes to improve the appearance of spider veins.
