Matrix CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing

Q & A

Fractional Ablative Laser

Q:What can the Matrix CO2 Fractional Laser successfully treat?

A:

Reduce fine lines and deep wrinkles
Tighten skin on the face and neck
Change the appearance of acne and trauma scars
Improve skin tone around eyelids, jowls and neck
Rejuvenate sun-damaged skin and improve texture of skin
Remove pigmented lesions
Reduction in pore size
Reduce the appearance of stretch marks
Improve tone and texture on the chest, arms and hands
Q:How does Matrix Fractional CO2 work?

A:

The high speed UltraFine Fractional scanner will direct a grid pattern of tiny pulses of light called MicroAblative Columns (MACs) at the skin. Each MAC delivers a column of energy that can reach the skins dermal layer while preserving the untreated skin in between the columns. This process promotes rapid healing and stimulates a natural renewal process of the body's own collagen.

Q:How long will the treatment take?

A:

This will depend on the area(s) of the body being treated. In most cases the actual treatment time takes less than 30 minutes.

Q:How Many Matrix CO2 treatments will I need?

A:

One to two treatments are usually needed. If you do need two treatments they are preformed at least 8 weeks apart.

Q:How Will I Take Care Of My Skin After Treatment?

A:

Immediately after the treatment, your skin will feel warm. Ice pack and cool wash cloths are helpful and will also reduce swelling. Harmony Laser Center has put together a skin care kit that includes cleanser, moisturizing barrier protection cream and sun block that you will use post treatment.

Q:What are the benefits of Matrix over traditional CO2 resurfacing procedures?

A:

Downtime is much less than traditional CO2 resurfacing and consists of redness and swelling which can last from 4-7 days. The treatment has minimal discomfort with topical anesthetic and there are fewer side effects.
