At Harmony Laser Center we have two different types of lasers for hair removal, GentleLASE® Alexandrite laser and the Elite Nd:Yag Laser. We are able to treat persons of any skin color using these two lasers. Even though best results are for people with light skin and dark hair, we can safely treat people with dark skin and dark hair by using the Elite Nd:Yag Laser. However, it is important to know that with any laser, we can only treat brown or black hair, not red, white, gray or blond hair.

At Harmony Laser Center our laser technicians are the most experienced in northern Colorado. Our priority is to first protect your skin and then remove your unwanted hair. If hair color or skin color is questionable as to the safety or effectiveness of treatment, we will first test a small area to see how the skin and hair respond.

It is important that clients receiving laser hair removal not have a fresh sun tan because of higher risk of discoloring the skin or hyperpigmentation. A sun block should always be used to protect the skin before and after treatment to prevent this discoloration.

Laser Hair Removal is approved by the FDA for safety and effectiveness. There are many variables to be taken into consideration that can affect the results of your treatment. Variables include: ethnic background, age, medications, illnesses that cause unusual hair growth, menopause and even the growth cycles of your hair.
